CareerNation Elects Obi Madubuko to VWEEP Advisory Board

April 13, 2016, New York – CareerNation has elected another outside member to the Board of Advisors for the Visiting Women’s Executive Exchange Program (VWEEP). Obi Madubuko is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, a law firm in New York City.

A Harvard graduate, Obi has been dubbed a “rising star” in 2015 for the third time by Ethisphere magazine.

Obi focuses her practice on anti-corruption and fraud matters and advises U.S.-based companies doing business in international markets. She advises companies on a host of compliance and transactional due diligence issues, including internal investigations, risk assessments and independent audits, as well as drafting, evaluating and updating corporate policies to ensure compliance.

In addition, she is an experienced trial lawyer who has represented clients before state and federal courts and agencies, including the United States Congress, the United States Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Federal Election Commission, and other federal and state authorities.

“We are eager and optimistic to work with Obi with this program,” says the VWEEP Program Manager, Zachary Avina, “Her experience with the law and international affairs, primarily from Africa, provide us with a point-of-view that is wholly unique and different than the typical businessperson’s view.”
