CareerNation, a leading provider in workforce solutions in the United States and Africa, has an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Business Development Representative. The Business Development Representative acts a business consultant gaining a thorough understanding of the customer’s needs/business issues and selecting the appropriate CareerNation solution to meet those needs. The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing business with prospective strategic customers and penetration and retention of existing customers. Business development includes the following: territory management, lead identification and qualification, cold calling, setting appointments, creating and developing proposals and pricing models, making presentations, documenting customer agreements (e.g., contract, service agreement,) closing sales through effective negotiation, documenting sales activities and conducting business reviews. Operating within company policy, the Business Development Representative exercises discretion and independent judgment in making decisions. Successful business development will result in cost-effective, quality solutions for our customers, and, most importantly, increased market share and profitability for CareerNation.
The successful candidate should possess a bachelor-s degree (preferably in Human Resources, Business, or Marketing) or equivalent work experience or a high school diploma, plus two years of sales experience in the staffing or service industry, including selling to strategic accounts. The candidate must possess a proven ability to develop business, build relationships, and communicate both orally and in writing, and network. In addition, they must demonstrate a strong internal/external customer focus and personal leadership, and solid negotiation and presentation skills. The candidate must also collaborate effectively with all levels of management. This is a full time consulting position with a base pay and an unlimited potential for commission.
